As soon as the Dakar was over, Nasser Al Attiyah left the passenger compartment of the Volkswagen Race Touareg 2 for the narrower one of a Ford Fiesta Super 2000.
The Qatari won his rally national today, event of the Middle East Championship, ahead of his compatriots Al Marri (Subaru) at six minutes and Al Thani (Subaru) at thirteen minutes.
Khalid Al Qassimi, entered in another Ford Fiesta Super 2000, retired in SS13 while he was in the lead at the end of SS11.
