Olivier Panis, who will compete with Oreca in the American Le Mans Series event at Petit Le Mans this weekend, is not yet sure what to do next in his career. The French driver is not convinced by the ACO's technical regulations for 24 Hours of Le Mans 2010. The efforts made by the ACO to achieve power equivalence between cars with diesel engines (Audi, Peugeot ) and cars with gasoline engines (Oreca,?) in LMP1 are not sufficient for the Grenoblois.
« I always said I wouldn't come back to Le Mans if I couldn't have fun with the good cars. Today, I'm still 50/50. There is a super positive side: I love it?Endurance, I love Le Mans, I love cars, I feel good in a team that has done an extraordinary job. But on the other hand, I am very disappointed by the regulations and by the attitude of the ACO, which does not want to understand what we are asking. »
