Davide Brivio, Team Manager of the Fiat Yamaha team in Moto GP, indicated to the Italian press that Valentino Rossi would not be at the start of the Rally Mexico, event WRC in which No. 46 wanted to participate.
The trip to Mexico (March 5-7) would be too close to the start of the Moto GP season in Qatar (April 11).
