Invited by his partner Johs Lunde to take part in a 2000 horsepower boat race, Petter Solberg rescued the occupants of one of the competing boats which had overturned at 185 km/h.
The Norwegian pilot dove with his co-pilot to free the five people trapped under the boat. It took them around ten minutes to get the last occupant out. Three of the five people injured were still in hospital yesterday evening without any life-threatening injuries.
