If the Italian tire brand has submitted its application to equip the single-seaters with Formula 1 from 2011, it has no intention of leaving the World Rally Championship, of which Pirelli has been the official partner since 2008.
« We have no intention of leaving the WRC, said a Pirelli spokesperson. We see the two projects as completely distinct and we evaluate them on their contributions and benefits individually. »
