Ford, with the success of Mikko Hirvonen (Ford Focus) during the Rally of Sweden, joins Lancia at the top of the ranking of manufacturers having recorded the most victories in the World Rally Championship, since its establishment in 1973. Ford and Lancia are now tied for first place in this ranking, with 74 victories. A ranking which takes into account the victory, subsequently canceled, of Markku Alen (Lancia Delta S4) during the Sanremo rally in 1986.
