As AUTOhebdo announces to you in its columns today, the FIA had submitted the new distribution of points to a vote by fax, the result of which was known yesterday. Approved by the World Motor Sport Council, the new allocation of points in rally will henceforth be carried out as in F1, with a bonus for victory. A novelty which would not have brought any change to the world championship rankings last year.
From the Swedish event this weekend, the scale will be as follows:
1st: 25 points
2nd: 18 points
3nd: 15 points
4nd: 12 points
5nd: 10 points
6nd: 8 points
7nd: 6 points
8nd: 4 points
9nd: 2 points
10th: 1 point
