Luc Alphand, the friendly Savoyard and winner of the Dakar in 2006, is embarking on a new adventure by becoming the team manager of Veloce Racing in the 100% electric off-road championship: Extreme E.

The announcement came on the Instagram account of the former alpine skiing world champion. Lucho will take control of Jean-Eric Vergne's Extreme E team, in particular. In difficulty since the beginning of the discipline, the team has never managed to play with the leaders of the discipline such as Rosberg X Racing or X44 for example. The arrival of Luc Alphand coincides with the recruitment of Kevin Hansen (ex JBXE) and Molly Taylor, 2021 champion, with Nico Rosberg's team. Veloce's ambitions will inevitably be revised upwards this weekend, for the grand final of the championship played in Uruguay in the Punta del Este region.
