Short-lived joy for the Grasser Racing Team at the end of qualifying for the 12 2021 Hours of Sebring. The Lamborghini Huracan driven by Tim Zimmermann was stripped of its pole position in GTD after an inspection by the stewards on telemetry.

Indeed, the Italian GT3 carried a Wi-Fi hotspot with it, which is a violation of the regulations IMSA. Résultat, la Lamborghini est déclassée au dernier rang. Cela profite à la Porsche 911 GT3 R du Wright Motorsport, qui prend la pole avec Jan Heylen.

“It’s a nice surprise, said Jan Heylen. You take these things when they come. Too bad for the Lambo’ but we took this pole with joy. There is no better way to start the race than on pole position. More than anything, it’s good for morale, it’s good for everyone in the team. I’m really looking forward to starting the race tomorrow. »
