6H. of Watkins Glen – Aston Martins promoted to victory in Grand Touring

Double second, Heart of Racing finds itself doubly victorious at Watkins Glen. The #25 BMW of Team RLL (Connor de Phillippi, John Edwards, Augusto Farfus) and the Mercedes-AMG GT3 n°57 from Winward Racing of Russell Ward, Philip Ellis and Marvin Dienst were in fact stripped of their victory in GTD Pro and GTD.

A verification carried out by theIMSA revealed that both cars failed to meet the adjusted minimum driving time of 1 hour and 17 minutes for each driver during the race after the one-hour red flag period due to bad weather. L'Aston Martin Vantage GT3 n°23 from Heart of Racing Team (Ross Gunn, Alex Riberas) thus recovered the victory in Pro, and the n°27 from the same team (Roman De Angelis, Maxime Martin, Ian James) won in GTD.
