Action Express Racing leads in EL3 in Texas

After two free practice sessions dominated by Wayne Taylor Racing, it is Action Express Racing's turn to shine in EL3 at the Circuit of the Americas in Texas for Lone Star Le Mans.

The No. 31 Cadillac DPi-VR of Cameron – Curran set the best time of the session in 1'56″117 and was 215 thousandths ahead of the No. 5 sister car of Barbosa – Fittipaldi. The JDC-Miller Motorsports Oreca 07 of Goikhberg – Simpson completes the top three at 276 thousandths.

The No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac DPi-VR only set the eighth fastest time, with Jordan and Ricky Taylor only completing nine laps after a technical problem. In PC, the Oreca FLM09 n°38 of French – O'Ward achieves the best time.

In GTLM, Giancarlo Fisichella and Toni Vilander place the Ferrari 488 Risi Competizione au sommet de la hiérarchie, avec un chrono référence établi en 2’02″915, un dixième devant la Porsche 911 RSR n°911 de Pilet – Werner.

Mathieu Jaminet, associated with Daniel Morad in the Porsche 911 GT3 R of Alegra Motorsports, takes the lead in GTD ahead of the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 of Paul Miller Racing of Sellers – Snow and the Mercedes-AMG GT3 SunEnergy1 from Vautier-Habul.

Qualifying for Lone Star Le Mans will take place in the evening.
