If the first session took place under a blazing sun yesterday, the Asian drivers Le Mans Series took part in the second free practice session today on a Sepang track which was drying out following showers that fell overnight.
In LMP2, it was the Oreca 03-Nissan from the Craft Racing team which set the best time in 2'01"469. The KCMG team – James Winslow and Tsugio Matsuda? who is fighting for the title against OAK Racing, ranks second, six tenths behind (2'02"111). On a tricky track, the OAK Racing Team could not do better than 2'04"218.
In GTE, the Ferrari 458 GTE n°70 du Team Taisan Ken Endless a réussi sa séance en se hissant en tête de la hiérarchie (2’09 »581) devant la Porsche 997 RSR AAI-RSTRADA n°35 qui effectue sa première apparition en GTE cette année.
In GTC, it was once again the Craft Racing team which took the lead with its two Aston Martin Vantage. With a time of 2'06"438, n°009 beat n°007 by six tenths (2'07"263). Third position for the #37 Lamborghini Gallardo (2'07"667)
In GTC Am, the No. 69 Lamborghini Gallardo of Team Primemantle Aylezo once again set the best time (2'16" 389) ahead of the Gallardo of Gama Racing and that of Mike Racing.
The third and final free practice session will take place tomorrow from 8:15 a.m. local time while qualifying will take place at 10:45 a.m.
