New Zealand media have reported the death of Chris Amon at the age of 73. The old pilot F1 (Ferrrari, Matra…) remained famous in particular for his victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1966 alongside Bruce McLaren, thus offering the first victory to the Ford GT 40 against Ferrari in the legendary duel of the 60s. Chris Amon also won in the 24 1967 Hours of Daytona with Ferrari.

The entire AUTOhebdo editorial team sends its sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of Chris Amon.
