Duqueine Engineering dominates EL1 in Portugal

The No. 07 Oreca 29 – Duqueine Engineering of Nelson Panciatici – Nicolas Jamin – Pierre Ragues set the best time in the first free practice session of the 4 Hours of Portimão, final of the European Le Mans Series 2018.

The Gard LM P2 completed a lap of the Lusitanian track in 1'32″846, 74 thousandths ahead of the No. 217 Ligier JS P22 – United Autosports of Filipe Albuquerque – Phil Hanson. The second Ligier from the British team, entrusted to Hugo de Sadeleer – Wayne Boyd – Will Owen, failed at 0″254.

Fourth, the Oreca 07 n°47 – Cetilar Villorba Corse of Felipe Nasr – Giorgio Sernagiotto – Roberto Lacorte, is more than six tenths behind. The 2018 champions Roman Rusinov and Andrea Pizzitola, driven in the No. 07 Oreca 26 – G-Drive Racing by Jean-Eric Vergne, only ranked 10th at 1″1.
