Unveiled at the end of March, but invisible during the first round of theELMS 2015 at Silverstone in England on April 11, replaced by the Oreca 03, the SMP Racing BR01 completed a test session at Paul Ricard in the Var, completing a 24-hour race simulation.
More than 6000 km were covered by the drivers present in the South-East of France, namely Maurizio Mediani, Nicolas Minassian, Kirill Ladygin, Anton Ladygin, Sergey Zlobin and Mikhail Aleshin, who did not encounter any technical problems. The BR01s should make their debut at Imola in Italy on May 17 where two cars should be lined up, the No. 27 for the Mediani trio? Minassian? Markozov and the No. 37 for Anton and Kirill Ladygin, associated with Mikhail Aleshin, entered last year in IndyCar with Schmidt Peterson Motorsports. The LM P2 prototypes will also be there at the 24 Hours of Le Mans (June 13-14).
