Already at its advantage this morning during the first free practice session of the 12 Hours of Sebring, Action Express Racing confirmed this afternoon during the second. This time it was the No. 5 Corvette DP from Albuquerque-Barbosa-Fittipaldi which set the best time in 1'53"850. She beat the sister car, the No. 31 of Pruett-Cameron-Curran by 0 and the Riley-BMW No. 433 Alegra Motorspots of Lawrence-Farnbacher-Morad-Quesada.
The Ligier JS P2 from MSR (Pla-Negri Jr-Pew) and the No. 90 Corvette DP from VisitFlorida.com (Dalziel-Goossens-Hunter Reay) complete the top five. The Oreca 05 DragonSpeed Stone-Minassian-Hedman is sixth at 0, four places ahead of the Ligier JS P851 ESM of Van Overbeek-Derani-Brown-Sharp.
Porsche took the lead in GT LM thanks to the #911 from Estre-Pilet-Tandy, which completed a lap in 2'00"041, ahead of the #7 Corvette C4.R (J. Magnussen-Garcia-Rockenfeller) and the Ferrari 488 GTE n°68 (Pier Guidi-Serra-Bertolini). Fifth behind the second official 911 RSR, the first BMW M6 GTLM is ahead of the two Ford GTs.
The Oreca 09 FLM n°54 of Core Autosport and theAston Martin Vantage GT3 No. 98 dominated the PC and GTD categories respectively.
