The BoP modified before the 24 Hours of Daytona

After the official tests of the Roar Before the Rolex 24, held at the beginning of the month, theIMSA has revised the Balance of Performance in preparation for the 24 Hours of Daytona (January 27-28), the first round of the American endurance series.

In Prototype, the Cadillac DPi-VR, ultra-dominant at the Roar, sees the air intake flange reduced by 0,6 mm, increasing to 31,6 mm. The Mazda RT24-Ps from Mazda Team Joest will be 15 kg lighter, to weigh 915 kg.

The Cadillac DPi-VR, Acura ARX-05 and Nissan DPi will also see their tanks increase by four, one and two liters respectively. The supercharging boost of the Nissan DPi and MAZda RT24-P has also been revised.

In GTLM, Team RLL's BMW M8s will lose 10 kg, to reach a total mass of 1240 kg. The German GTs will see their boost modified and their tank capacity increased by six liters. Corvettes and Fords gain one and two liters of tank capacity, when the Ferrari 488 of the Risi Competizione loses three liters of capacity.

The GTD category will see the Acura NSX GT3 gain 10 kg (to 1310 kg), when the Mercedes-AMG GT3 will lose 15 kg (to 1375 kg). The Audi R8 LMS and Lamborghini Huracan see their flange reduced by 1 mm to 39 and 38 mm respectively.
