This is the unfortunate image of this first official day of driving. During Free Practice 1, theAston Martin Vantage No. 777 of D'Station Racing driven by Casper Stevenson made a mistake at the exit of Esses de la Forêt. Stopped in the middle of the track and despite warnings from the marshals with yellow flags, the No. 07 Oreca 13 from Tower Motorsports was unable to avoid hitting it head-on at the driver's side door.
🔴 Red flag: collision between @dstation_racing and @TOWERMTSPRTS8.

Luckily no injuries were reported among the drivers, whether Casper Stevenson or Steven Thomas. Unfortunately, Tower Motorsports logically did not escape the sanction. And what a sanction: three minutes of Stop & Go during the race! Additionally, Steven Thomas received two penalty points on his license.
To this must be added a change of chassis for the No. 07 Oreca 13 which was unable to participate in qualifying this Friday. Definitely not a good day.
