Motul gives its name to the Virage du Ronnement on the Le Mans circuit

New name for the Virage du Ronnement, on the Le Mans circuit. On the sidelines of 24 Hours of Le Mans 2022 (June 11-12), the ACO and the Motul brand have sealed the naming of the last bend of the Le Mans loop.

This naming is the result of several decades of presence at Le Mans of Motul, partner of the ACO since 1954 and supplier of official lubricant of the WEC and 24 hours since 2016. Today, the American brand is a technical partner of the Glickenhaus Hypercar team. Motul also supplies lubricants for LM P2s with Gibson engines.

Pierre Fillon, president of the ACO, is delighted with this new naming with Motul. “We are very pleased to take a step forward in the historic partnership that binds us to Motul. By associating its name with one of the most legendary corners in motor sports, Motul will benefit from the exposure of the greatest endurance race in the world. Motul and the ACO are engaged in a relationship that began in 1954. This loyalty touches us, honors us. Being able to count on partners so attached to the 24 Hours of Le Mans and its history is a great satisfaction. »

Same joy from Olivier Montange, Chairman of the Motul Management Board. “Le Mans has always had a very special place in the hearts of everyone at Motul. We love motorsport, but I must say that the 24 Hours of Le Mans are truly unique because of the human and technical challenge, because of our common history and our relationships with long-standing partners, without forgetting of course our common French Touch . (…) We are extremely pleased to announce the new naming of the Virage du Raccordement Motul, which symbolizes several decades of presence at Le Mans (…). »
