Confirmed a few days ago for the 2022 IMSA season, Jim McGuire and Guy Smith will be joined by Phil Hanson aboard the No. 07 United Autosports Oreca 22. This will be the first time since 2018 and the 24 Hours of Daytona that the Englishman has participated in a round on the other side of the Atlantic.
« I'm very happy to return to Daytona, confided Phil Hanson. I haven't raced there in 3 years where I have unfinished business. Although we won't be in contention for the overall victory, I'm excited to be able to race in January and start the season with the biggest race in American motorsports."
In addition to the 24 Hours of Daytona, United Autosports will contest the other 3 rounds of theEndurance Cup namely the 12 Hours of Sebring, the 6 Hours of Watkins Glen and Petit Le Mans.
