Pipo Derani: “A fantastic victory for our team”

Felipe Nasr and Pipo Derani won in Long Beach on the night of Saturday to Sunday. A victory without firing a shot for the Auriverde duo, which comes back to just 19 points behind Wayne Taylor Racing in the championship while there is only one event left on the calendar for the cars in the DPi category. “This [victory] is fantastic for our team”, Derani said. “The Whelen Engineering Cadillac was on track this weekend. I can't thank this team enough for the third victory of the season. We fought so hard to come out of a difficult start to the season and now we will come to the final race with a real chance to challenge for the championship. A big thank you to the whole team. We dominated every session of the weekend. Felipe did a fantastic job in qualifying. For me it was getting the car home from the head. I'm quite happy with the result. Thank you to everyone who supported us this weekend. »
