Roar Daytona – Free Practice 4: Acura, power 4

At Daytona for the Roar, the Acuras only missed the best time during qualifying disrupted by a red flag. After winning the first three sessions, the Japanese brand did it again in the fourth with Wayne Taylor Racing. Ricky Taylor actually set the best time of the night session in 1:34.592. He beat Scott Dixon in the No. 01 Chip Ganassi Racing Cadillac DPi, which crashed during qualifying, by just 0.019 seconds. Mike conway was third fastest for Whelen Engineering Racing at 0.125 seconds.

René Rast set the LM P2 benchmark time for G-Drive in 1:35.874, ahead of Mikkel Jensen for PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports by 0.092 seconds. Trenton Estep set the best time in LM P3 with the Forty08 Motorsports Duqueine D7 in 1:42.582. 

Chez les GT3, Mirko Bortolotti a placé sa Lamborghini Huracán n°63 du TR3 Racing en haut de la feuille des temps en 1:45.757, devant Laurens Vanthoor sur la Porsche 911 de KCMG qui s’élancera en pole position de la catégorie pour la course de 100 minutes ce dimanche. Paul Holton a pris les meilleurs sur les autres GTD avec se McLaren Crucial Motorsports 720S in 1:45.965.

The qualifying race for the 24 Hours of Daytona (January 29-30) will start at 20:05 p.m. French time.
