Proton Competition has revealed its first driver for 2023, but it won't fit in one of the two Porsche 963 acquired for the team of the Ried brothers (Christian and Michael). The German team has indeed announced on its social networks the arrival of Ryan Hardwick for the next 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The American driver was awarded the Bob Akin Trophy in IMSA, awarding him an automatic invitation for the next edition of the Sarthoise classic in GTE. He will therefore line up at the start of the Centenary in a Porsche from the team based in Ummendorf (Germany). A car that he had the opportunity to test in Portimão (Portugal), the day after the European final Le Mans Series. The Bronze driver was also present at the Rookie Test of WEC in Bahrain in a Aston Martin Vantage AMR.
We are happy to welcome #RyanHardwick in the #ProtonCompetition family.
