The Michael Shank Racing team dominated the fourth session of the Roar Before the 24 on the Daytona track as a preamble to the 24 Hours which will take place on January 24 and 25. AJ Allmendinger was the fastest, completing a lap in 1'39″418, 0″027 ahead of Frenchman Sébastien Bourdais, at the wheel of the Action Express Racing Corvette DP. Max Angelelli (Wayne Taylor Racing) takes third place by more than three tenths.
En PC, l’ORECA FLM09 du CORE Autosport de Colin Braun a dominé la session. La catégorie GTLM a vu la Z4 de Dirk Werner (BMW Team RLL) devancer la Porsche 911 RSR n°911 du Porsche North America pilotée par Patrick Pilet et l’autre BMW Z4 du Team RLL emmenée par Lucas Luhr. Christian Engelhart s’est montré le plus rapide en GTD avec la Porsche 911 GT America du Konrad Motorsport.
Note that the DeltaWing team was forced to withdraw prematurely, following Memo Rojas' accident during the session, the damage being considered too serious to be repaired on site.
