The World Motor Sport Council meeting in Paris this Wednesday approved the Commission's decision Endurance to limit the power that can be released by the energy recovery systems, so that the instantaneous power of the thermal engine/hybrid system pair cannot exceed 1000 hp, for safety reasons.

Furthermore, the LM P1 technical regulations will be modified with regard to fueling, bodywork, wheels and rims, mirrors and driver safety equipment on board the prototypes. The LM P2 category has not been forgotten, with adjustments to rear visibility, and the cost of engines and safety equipment. The limitation on the number of engines in LM P2 will not be applied to the Prologue of the WEC.
