The struggles continue for Peugeot . Rather spared from mechanical problems in Portugal until then, the French manufacturer experienced a mishap before the start of the 6 Hours of Portimão.

According to our information, the No. 9 Peugeot 8X93 experienced a problem with the front axle, which the French team is currently repairing. “The power steering was changed on the No. 93 following an unusual sensation. The No. 93 will start from the stand,” Peugeot communicated on this subject.

The deadlines being too tight, the Hypercar of Jean-Éric Vergne, Mikkel Jensen and Paul di Resta will have to start from the pit lane, instead of their 9th place acquired during qualifying the day before. The No. 94 will start from 6th place.
