After an interruption of almost two hours due to the fog which had fallen on the Daytona circuit, the race was able to resume its rights. The No. 01 Chip Ganassi Racing BMW-Riley driven by Montoya-Kimball-Pruett-Rojas-Dixon was the strongest despite uncertainties regarding the end of the race where a bet could be made with fuel consumption.
