Following the change in regulations for the World ChampionshipEndurance of the FIA carried out in December 2011, only the highest placed car from a manufacturer will score points for the manufacturers' world title in each of the 8 races. Furthermore, only the 6 best results, which must include the points obtained in the 24 Hours of Le Mans en juin, compteront pour le titre. Une bonne nouvelle pour Toyota, qui ne sera pas du déplacement à Sebring le 17 mars, et qui n’engagera qu’une voiture sur la majorité des épreuves restantes.
