The Italian Emanuele Pirro, five-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (2000, 2001, 2002, 2006, 2007) was appointed Grand Marshal of the 2020 edition of the Sarthe double clock tower (September 19-20).
The former Audi Sport driver will thus celebrate the twentieth anniversary of his first victory in Sarthe with the firm with the rings. The member of the FIA Drivers Commission will drive the first car of the event, and will succeed Hurley Haywood who served in this position in 2019.
