Not present last year for the British round of the ILMC, Marcel Fässler will discover the new Silverstone track this weekend. The Swiss, winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans last June, approaches the penultimate round of the season with confidence.
“The last time I took part in a race at Silverstone was in 2009, underlines the one who will share the wheel of the No. 18 Audi R1 TDI with the German Timo Bernhard. JSo I don't know the new route. I'm especially looking forward to tackling the succession of fast corners, Becketts and Hangar, which will undoubtedly be very fun to take with the R18. As the track is wider, we will have more overtaking opportunities than we had at Monza. We must not neglect the weather. You should never forget the possibility of it raining at Silverstone. After taking third place in the last round (in Imola at the beginning of July, editor’s note), I would like to progress a little in the hierarchy. »
