The FIA unveiled this Monday the provisional categorization for drivers for the 2018 season. Note among the changes that Alessandro Pier Guidi, crowned GT world champion in WEC the weekend spent with James Calado, is promoted Platinum, just like Alexander Sims.
The move to the Gold category concerns Connor de Phillippi, 2016 ADAC GT Masters champion and winner of the 24 Hours of Nürburgring this year with Audi, or even Jules Gounon, winner of the 24 Hours of Spa with Saintéloc and Audi.
Nicolas Jamin, lined up in Indy Lights, also goes Gold, just like Dries Vanthoor (winner at Le Mans in GTE Am), or the drivers entered in Endurance Léo Roussel, Thomas Laurent or even Andre Negro. Alexandre Prémat or Jonny Kane are for their part demoted from Platinum to Gold.
