The Lotus Evora GTE will compete this year for the first time at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. L’équipe autrichienne Jetalliance Racing engagera deux exemplaires dans la catégorie GTE, au beau milieu des Porsche 997 GTR RSR, Ferrari 458 Italia GTC, Corvette C6 ZR1 and other BMW M3 E92. The site Lemans.org reveals that the Lotus took part in a test session last Thursday April 7 on the manufacturer's private circuit. 700 km without any problems to report. “With larger tires and a completely revised suspension, the Evora GTE gains ten seconds per lap compared to the GT4 version”, assures Claudio Berro, sporting director of Lotus.
Apart from the double round of the Sarthe race, the Lotus Evora will participate in the remaining six rounds of the ILMC. First public appearance next weekend during the test day of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
