Following an exit from the track by Vitaly Petrov (Oreca 07 n°25 of CEFC Manor TRS Racing) and even more intense rain than during the EL1, the second free practice session for the 6 Hours of Fuji was interrupted by a red flag for 50 minutes.

In LM P2, Jackie Chan DC Racing once again stood out, but this time thanks to the No. 07 Oreca 38 of Thomas Laurent-Ho Pin Tung-Oliver Jarvis, credited with a lap in 1'47"437. The championship leaders are ahead of their rivals in the title race, namely the 07 n°31 from the Vaillante Rebellion team led by Julien Canal, Nicolas Cheers and Bruno Senna. Despite going off the track, the No. 07 CEFC Manor TRS Racing 25 finished third in its class.

Ford took power in GTE Pro thanks to the #66 GT of Stefan Mücke-Olivier Pla. Thanks to a time of 1'52"658, the latter is a tenth ahead of the two official Porsche 911 RSRs. Just behind the Germans, we find the Ferrari 488 GTE No. 61 from Clearwater Racing, entered in GTE Am for the Mok-Sawa-Griffin trio.

Tomorrow, the weather looks better for EL3 and qualifying, which will start at 3 a.m. and 7 a.m. French time respectively. But it is, on the other hand, very uncertain for Sunday.
