Bernard Ollivier, the deputy general director ofAlpine, published a photo showing theAlpine A460 No. 36 at the Bahrain rookie tests with a position display on the sides of its body. The ACO is therefore studying the possibility of precisely informing the public about the position of each car (overall or in its category) as is already the case in IndyCar.
Until now, the cars of the WEC had a system of diodes also placed on the sides indicating the position if the crew was in the top three of the category.
We are testing a new system for the ACO, which would give the position of the car. Great idea, hope it gets implemented! pic.twitter.com/RC0gJTe7bj
