The Oreca-Matmut team took advantage of the four hours of the first test session at Sebring to discover the track with the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP. Nicolas lapierre, Olivier Panis and Loïc duval took turns at the wheel of the lioness, the last one achieving the best time of the crew. The 4th of the morning, one second behind the official Peugeot 908 of Franck Montagny. “ This first session went well, confided Duval. I found what I expected. We suspected it would be bumpy, but we had confirmation! There are two very “hot” turns, the first and the last. The circuit is atypical. It feels a bit like a city with fairly close walls and a surface that doesn't look like a billiard table. It's nice? On the other hand, traffic will really be an important element. The track is not wide, there is often only one line and it is not necessarily easy to get out of it, even to overtake a GT. As for the paddock and the pitlane configuration, it reminds me a little of Macau! »

The Chartres driver nevertheless admits that the search for performance was not the goal of the morning. “ We are in a rather “calm” pace, but which is good given the times. It's positive. Personally, I haven't driven the 908 HDi FAP since Le Mans. So it's been a while but I quickly found my bearings. The feeling is good: we are not far away. It's a good start to the week. It's up to us to continue on this path He concluded.
