The last two years Aston Martin was content to use Lola chassis powered by in-house V12s to represent the brand in Endurance. For 2011 the Gaydon brand took the decision to develop a prototype developed entirely in-house, with the aim of treading on the flowerbeds of Peugeot and Audi. If we now know the name of the car (AMR-One), no image has yet been filtered. And for good reason she still hasn't taken to the track.

“I was able to see the Aston Martin AMR-One, and I must admit that I find it extremely well designed, Stefan Mücke told us. Aston Martin made no compromises in the design of the car, and all the details were very careful. In person, it seems very good, but I can't yet talk about performance since we haven't yet driven it. The shakedown will be done very soon. It is certain that we still have a lot of work to do between now and Sebring, but it smells good…”

One model will be entered in ILMC for Stefan Mücke and Darren Turner, and two at Le Mans where Harold Primat will also be there. If Mücke will play the entire Intercontinental Le Mans Cup, he could also leave for a new campaign in the FIA GT1 world championship with the Young Driver AMR. But on this side, nothing is finalized for the moment.
