Olivier Panis took back the wheel of the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP from Team Oreca Matmut on the Castellet circuit. If, as stated on the Var team's website, there are still several contenders to occupy the position of third driver at the 12 Hours of Sebring (and at Le Mans?), Olivier Panis seems to have enjoyed his return to the wheel of the Lioness Mondrian.
“I was happy to find the whole team again, whether it was the engineers, the mechanics or Nico (Stone, editor’s note), admits the Grenoblois. There is always this pleasant atmosphere. Personally, I haven't driven a prototype since Budapest last August. It was important for me to know where I was, both in terms of riding and desire. Hugues offered me this opportunity to ride on the HTTT. I am satisfied with the times I achieved and I had a great time: I am not ready for retirement (laughs)! In terms of the car's behavior, I was pleasantly surprised. Despite the regulatory changes, the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP remains a fabulous car. The pleasure is the same! »
