The Pescarolo Team recently revealed the identity of the two men brought to drive the Sarthois prototype throughout the season, and the engine chosen to equip the P01. After reflection, the four-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and his men opted for the wisest solution: the good old V10 Judd with the new flanges. Before going to the Castellet circuit for the official Le Mans Series tests, the Pescarolo Team wanted to run on its usual testing base, the Brétigny aerodrome. Alas, the latter ceased all activity.
“The official presentation of the car will be held on the first day of official testing for the Le Mans Series at Le Castellet, explains Henri to the official website of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. In the meantime, we wanted to do our usual session at the Brétigny airfield, but it is no longer in operation and we are not authorized to drive there. It?s very difficult to find another airport with a two-kilometer straight line and a smooth surface. »
Concerning subscription, the enthusiasm generated is still impressive. No less than 1200 donors came forward in the space of three months. Next June, according to the applause meter, the French team is likely to win hands down.
