After an hour of testing on the opening of the World ChampionshipEndurance (WEC) at Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) on Saturday, Harry tincknell smashed his mount in the Raidillon. The Briton was second in the GTE Pro category aboard his Ford GT and got out of the car under his own power.
The safety car is deployed to replace the pneumatic barriers damaged in the impact. The GTE Pro category is led by the other Ford GT, that of Stefan Mücke, Olivier Pla and Billy Johnson ahead of both Porsche Official 911 RSR.
Fernando Alonso (Toyota) leads the LM P1 ahead of the Rebellion RB1 of Bruno Senna and the BR1 of Stéphane Sarrazin, who nevertheless started from last place. In LM P2, the Oreca 07 of Weiron Tan (Jackie Chan DC Racing) took the lead after damage to the Dallara of Giedo Van Der Garde.
This is the difference in accident severity between an LMP1 and a GTE. Pietro ungraciously broke the 2 stones, Harry Tincknell could get dirty by his propio pie. #WEC #6hSpa pic.twitter.com/8ebdjvrW5N
