The 2022-23 Le Mans Virtual calendar presented

Five rounds will make up the 2022-23 Le Mans Virtual season. The Esports Championship organized by the World Endurance Championship (WEC) and Motorsport Games Inc. will end with the 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual, from January 14 to 15, 2023.

Each event will be played on the PC video game, rFactor 2. Among the new features introduced this season is greater flexibility of participation for professional drivers. Teams must enter a professional driver in at least one regular round of the series (rounds 1-4) instead of the full season.

Pierre Fillon, President of the ACO, declared: “We are very pleased to have supported and followed the success of the Le Mans Virtual Series to date, culminating in the Virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans. The connection between real motorsport and esports is a vital element for our manufacturers and teams, and we believe it has an important role to play in attracting a new, younger audience, on and off the track. We are all looking forward to another great season of competitive esports. »

Le Mans Virtual Series CEO, Gérard Neveu, said: “Last year, Le Mans Virtual Series was a great success, but we are always aiming for better! The viewing figures and feedback we've seen in 2021-22 go a long way in recognizing the support of our impressive partner portfolio, the collaboration of elite manufacturers and the commitment of top sim racing teams, including our current champions, Team Redline. We are confident that we will continue to attract champions from all different categories of motorsport and sim racing, and that we can produce another exciting and professional esports series for the great global audience of gamers and spectators to enjoy . »
