Alpine started its new engine

The French team unveiled this Friday, January 21, the first start of its 2022 engine, the A522. While a new era of Formula 1 looms with the new technical regulations, the teams are gearing up for this season, the first tests of which are scheduled in Barcelona from February 19 to 21. If the Dieppe brand will leave with its line-up Fernando Alonso et Esteban Ocon, it underwent a large internal reshuffle in the ruling spheres. Marcin Budkowski, executive director, and Alain Prost, non-executive director, left the blues, while Otmar Szafnauer, former general director ofAston Martin F1, is emphatically announced. The BWT sponsor and its pink color could also appear on the new livery with the arrow A.
