Accidents in Q1 this Sunday morning in qualifying at the same place, the exit of the last chicane of the Suzuka circuit, Robert Kubica and Kevin Magnussen will have to use a new gearbox at the Japanese Grand Prix this afternoon.
The two drivers received a penalty of 5 places on the grid which was completely void since they were 19th and 20th on the timesheet anyway. Forced to change survival cells on his Williams, Kubica will have to start from the pit lane… if the repairs are completed in time!
