The tire manufacturer Cooper, also owner of the Avon brand, could equip cars with F1 next season, according to autosport.com. Bernie Ecclestone would be one of the driving forces behind this candidacy, so as not to give “full powers” to Michelin, which is in pole position to return to F1 and which has the confidence of the teams. A decision could be made in the coming weeks.
