Jenson Button set the best time in the second free practice session for the Chinese GP. Contested under radiant sunshine and mild temperatures, this second 90-minute session allowed Brawn GP to confirm its supremacy. Button finished with a 25/1000th margin over Nico Rosberg (Williams), the other strong man at the start of the season. The Red Bulls also showed a good level of performance, with the 4th and 5th positions of Webber and Hag, who position themselves in the wake of Rubens Barrichello.
