Hamilton and Mercedes nominated for Laureus Awards

Sacred in F1 in 2018, respectively among Drivers and Manufacturers, Lewis Hamilton et Mercedes-AMG F1 are part of the lists of nominees for the next Laureus Awards, which will take place on February 18 in Monaco.

The now five-time world champion joins in the list of athletes likely to succeed Roger Federer on the list of winners, Kylian Mbappé, winner of the Football World Cup with France, Luka Modrić (Ballon d'Or), Lebron James, new player of the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA, Novak Djokovic, ATP world number 1, and Eliud Kipchoge, winner of the Berlin and London marathons.

As for the teams, Mercedes-AMG F1 will face France, titled in Russia at the Football World Cup, Real Madrid, crowned for the third consecutive time in the Champions League, the Golden State Warriors, who once again dominated the NBA, the European Ryder Cup team (golf) and the Norwegian Winter Olympics team.
