Pirelli has announced each driver's tire choices for the Japanese Grand Prix from October 6-8. With medium, soft and super-soft tires on offer, this latter range is favored by drivers with between 7 and 10 sets chosen, with small teams in difficulty choosing more red sets.
Among the tenors, Hamilton et Hag opt for the same choices: 1 set of mediums, 5 of softs and 7 of super-softs. The Finns Bottas and Räikkönen choose an extra set of mediums against a set of softs. As to Red Bull, the strategy observed is more aggressive with nine sets of super-softs, three of softs and one of medium.
