Nick Heidfeld has been confirmed as the third driver of Mercedes GP. Since the arrival of Michael Schumacher within the Etoile brand's team, the former BMW-Sauber driver was expected to inherit this role. With Nico Rosberg, Michael Schumacher and Nick Heidfeld, Mercedes GP therefore presents a trio of German drivers.
