We already knew that Carlos Sainz should take a second MGU-K on his McLaren this weekend in Bahrain after the breakdown suffered by its electric motor in Melbourne at the start of the season.
The FIA confirms this Friday that the Spaniard will also use a second internal combustion engine (ICE), a second MGU-H (electric motor responsible for exhaust energy recovery), as well as a new turbocharger.
As a reminder, the pilots' annual engine allowance is divided as follows: 3 ICE, 3 MGU-H, 3 turbochargers, 2 MGU-K, 2 batteries, and 2 electronic controls.
