The one who will officiate in F2 for a third season also evolves as a reserve with Alfa Romeo… with a new helmet and a new number.

Pourchaire unveils his Alfa Romeo helmet

It is in its black and red combination in the colors of the new C43 ofAlfa Romeo which Théo Pourchaire revealed his helmet for the season F1 future. The one who will form a 100% French duo in Formula 2 at ART Grand Prix, alongside the champion of F3 in title Victor Martins, joined the shakedown festivities of the Swiss team and took part in the presentation of his helmet.

« As always, I kept the fluorescent yellow, which is my color, begins the Frenchman. My initials are on the side, the T and the P, because that's my identity. My helmet is what you see on TV so it's very important to me », laughs Pourchaire.

And to add: " I added a little black, white and red, which are the colors of Alfa Romeo. On the back, we find my logo and my number 98, which is a rookie number. It's not my official number, but I will use it in F1. » Indeed, in promotional formulas, the Frenchman from Grasse evolves with number 10… already busy adorning the car of his compatriot Pierre Gasly in Alpine.

But the No. 10 of ART must still perform this season, in the heart of a very tight field, to hope to reach the premier category. Beaten by Felipe Drugovich, he obtained the honorary title of vice-champion. The 2023 campaign then takes on the air of a crusade towards an essential title to maintain the good points scored throughout the rest of his career and take on starting status.

And these holders also presented the new design of their helmets for the coming financial year. Valtteri Bottas left the care of the appearance to his wife Tiffany Cromwell for a rendering that he finds « more aggressive », while his teammate Guanyu-Zhou put his city in the spotlight, displaying a skyline from Shanghai.
