To celebrate the return of F1 in France and also the legalization of driving for women in Saudi Arabia, Renault invite to Aseel Al-Hamad, the first woman to have a license in the Saudi Motorsport Federation, to parade aboard the 20 Lotus E2012 at the Paul-Ricard circuit (Var) before the start of the French Grand Prix (16:10 p.m.).
“With this demonstration on the same day that women can drive on the roads of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, I hope to demonstrate that anything is possible as long as you have passion and can dream”, she explains. Aseel Al-Hamad is also a member of the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission, aiming to help and promote the place of women in motorsport.
